As Daylight Dies was born in February 2024 from a shared love of Killswitch Engage and a simple idea: if we were going to do a tribute band, we were going to do it right.

After wrapping up an ambitious (but short-lived) '90s tribute project, guitarist Nathan Sieg and bassist Gray Williams knew they weren't done. They wanted something heavier. Something that captured the energy, emotion, and intensity that made them fall in love with metal in the first place. The answer was obvious—Killswitch Engage.

The lineup came together quickly with vocalist Guy Elliot and drummer Clint Lentz, and from the very first rehearsal it just clicked. The chemistry was undeniable, and everyone knew they had something special.

Then in 2026, the missing piece arrived.

Guitarist Josh Sumner joined the band, bringing the harmonized leads, screaming pinch harmonics, and dual-guitar attack that truly completed the Killswitch sound. From that moment on, As Daylight Dies became everything it was meant to be.

Our mission is simple: deliver the power, precision, and emotion of a live Killswitch Engage show while putting on an unforgettable performance for fans throughout the Triad and beyond.
